Here at The Enchanted Cupboard we have NO minimum order - we know from our own experience the frustration of large minimum orders whilst trying to grow your business.
We provide wholesale trading for all manner of businesses large or small and we dont require you to have a shop front either. As long as you have a valid ABN you can be a market seller, e-bayer, internet trader or store owner. We welcome not only New Age and gift ware stores but beauty/holistic therapists, pharmacies, spas etc and anyone else who feels that there is a place for our wonderful candles, crystals and other delicious goodies in their business.
To become a wholesale customer you must first register using the Wholesale page at the bottom of the menu. We will then send you a confirmatory email with a one use only link to our log in page. There you will enter the username and password of your choosing. You will then be free to log in to the wholesale area and commence shopping for your business. No. All our candles are made with premium grade fragrances which have essential oils at their base but are further enhanced synthetically to provide optimum fragrance throw, scent quality, retention and stability.
You may wonder why we use these fragrances and not essential oils when we are committed to keeping our candles as pure as possible. We certainly are committed - our candles contain only the highest quality fragrance and 100% pure vegetable soy wax. We do not use essential oils for several reasons.
One is the sheer volume of pure essential oil required to make one candle. Essential oils require very large quantities of flower petals or other plant part depending on what kind of oil to produce even one ml. Anyone who has used aromatherapy before will know that they are so concentrated that they are then used by the drop - in an oil burner or on a tissue etc. So to pour for example 25mls of this precious and highly concentrated resource into one medium size candle seems to us to be a really big waste of something really precious not to mention how much more expensive this makes the candle for you. Especially when the pureness of the oil does not equal a superior result. Which brings us to the other reason. Essential oils are highly volatile and pure oil candles can have a faint yet unpleasant scorched smell as the oils literally burn. They also produce a much fainter scent throw with the results being decidedly inferior to using several drops of oil in an oil burner.
However we realise that sensitivities are a real concern so we offer all of our candles without the addition of fragrance. Simply state your preference in the comments section at checkout. Our unfragranced soy melts are fantastic for using with essential oils in your oil burner!! Once melted simply drop your oils into the bowl in the usual way. The wax will take a very long time to evaporate so is safer than water which can evaporate quickly creating a real fire danger if you accidentally leave the burner unattended or if you use large 9 hour tea lights the water can run out long before the candle does.
Once the oil has been evaporated the melt can be used over and over again until it runs out. It will last for ages and is super value. You can also purchase an unfragranced candle to have the ambience of the candle flame and use your oil burner at the same time to create the fragrance.
Soy wax candles continue to go from strength to strength and increasing steadily in popularity. Soy wax is a 100% vegetable based wax which is water soluble and has a much lower melting temperature than other kinds of wax making it safer and more user friendly. Any spills will be cleaned easily with soap and water and as the melt point is only 45 degrees celcius it reduces the risk of burns from coming into contact with the melted wax.
Since soy wax is vegetable based it is much safer to use than its petroleum based paraffin counterpart. They produce very little smoke or soot compared to paraffin candles so are much cleaner to burn.
Soy wax also burns approx 3 - 4 times longer than paraffin and other wax candles so whilst they cost a little more they are extremely good value. You can increase that burn time even further by refrigerating the candle for a short time before use. You can gain an extra 2-5 hours burn time in this way although it will take a longer amount of time for the fragrance to fill the room so its a personal choice as to whether it is worth the extra effort.
The soy wax we use at The Enchanted Cupboard is also kosher providing for those with this requirement.
Yes! Scarily in most paraffin based candles the wicks that are used have been dipped in lead to help them burn!!! So when you burn the candle in your home you are breathing in traces of lead as well as the petrochemicals in paraffin wax. Whilst its incredible that this is allowed to happen it is in fact reality. Please always make sure your candles only use lead free wicks!
Here at The Enchanted Cupboard we ONLY use 100% cotton braid wicks which have been dipped into our pure 100% vegetable soy wax which assists them to burn. This measure of quality is non negotiable so our customers can be confident that they are receiving a top quality lead free wick in all their candle products.
You will see as you peruse our shopping gallery that we only make natural coloured candles. One reason is because we believe that the natural beauty and glossiness of natural wax needs to be allowed to shine in its own right!
The other reason is because we are committed to keeping our products as pure as we can. Any colour added will be evaporated and inhaled during the burning of your candle. Further more once there is the addition of colour we automatically would need to add even more chemicals to the candle. Chemicals that smooth out any irregularities in the coloured wax to create a "perfect" candle, stabilizers to prevent mottling and fading and for anyone who sells under natural light or fluroescent lighting (in other words everybody!) we would also need to add UV stabilizers to make sure the tops of your candles dont fade as you display them over time in your store. Despite the small quantities used we would prefer to leave such additives well alone.
All of our customers are extremely important to us and we do our upmost to ensure you have a pleasant shopping experience with us - everytime. All orders are processed immediately with stock being dispatched between 1 and 5 days of order depending on current stock levels. All of our candles are hand poured as you order them. This is a process and takes time. We endeavour to have all orders dispatched in the shortest time possible - the length of time allowed is not all always required but is appreciated if needed so please take the following as a guide.
Orders within Australia should be received between 3 - 10 working days after dispatch depending on your location. Overseas customers please allow 15 - 20 days.
